Sek Yuan Restaurant 适苑酒家 @ Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur

Sek Yuen at Jalan Pudu was established in 1948, which is the nolstagic restaurant that serving Authentic Cantonese Cuisine. There are two branches of Sek Yuen, the second branch (with air-conditioner) is just located next to the master branch (without air conditioner).

I have been there twice, the first time was at the master branch. The interior decor and furnitures of the restaurant makes me feel like I have gone back in time and stepped into 1960s. Despite the workers mainly senior citizens but they are efficient.

Kedai Makanan Yut Kee 镒记茶餐室 @ Jalan Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur

Yut Kee is the oldest Hainanese Kopitiam in Kuala Lumpur which was established in the year 1928. The restaurant offers delicious and reasonable price of hainanese cuisine such as hailam mee, pork chop, their famous 'roti babi', roasted pork......

'The early bird gets the worm' so we woke up early in the Sunday morning to grabbed the food. We arrived here at 9:30pm, the restaurant was insanely crowded. We registered at the counter and we managed to be seated when a table becomes available (within 15 minutes). The design of the restaurant was based on 1930s style, if you like old-fashioned and a little bit of nostalgia, this is the restaurant to go.

Authentic BBQ 古早烧烤 @ Kepong

Yakiniku is a Japanese term which refers to grilled meat dishes. It commonly refers to a Japanese style of cooking bite-sized meat and vegetables on griddles over flame of charcoals, gas or electric grill.

Basically, Authentic BBQ is a hawker stall located by the roadside. This was my second time trying japanese BBQ (hawker style) and my first time was a year ago at Gerai Makan Japanese BBQ 大众烧肉 at Taman Desa.

Although raining cats and dogs outside, we still have a good time grilling in the rain.
